Chosen as lead logistics partner - worldwide assembly & dispersal
14 July - 28 October
In 2018, Liverpool Biennial is celebrating 20 years of presenting international art in the city and region and Jayhawk is delighted to be actively involved with such an important anniversary event as lead logistics partner for a 3rd consecutive biennial.
Taking place over 15 weeks across the city in public spaces, galleries, museums and online, Liverpool Biennial commissions artists from around the world to make and present work in the context of Liverpool.
The 10th edition Beautiful world, where are you? invites artists and audiences to reflect on a world of social, political and economic turmoil with free exhibitions and events across the city.
Jayhawk has been selected to manage the fine art logistics requirements, from across the world, for artists, such as Annie Pootoogook, Brian Jungen and Francis Akys, from as far as Canada, Mexico, South Korea, China, USA, France and the U.K. Specialist knowledge in the management and movement of fine art, international customs know-how, crating and packing, airline handling as well as a clear understanding of the deadlines required has been essential. Coupled with robust, existing relationships with the organisers and the venues; The Tate, Open Eye Gallery, The Bluecoat, FACT and VGM provided the necessary reassurance and confidence that everything will be choreographed perfectly. The final transfer from Jayhawk's GIS London facility will be provided by Jayhawk's own fine art vehicles and in-house technicians.
